PAYING FOR YOUR DEGREE:
FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
College can be expensive, but it’s a valuable investment in your future. We’re committed to cost transparency at MSMU because we want you to feel well-informed in your financial decisions. Your time in college should be spent focusing on your education and growth, not worrying about unexpected costs. If you are accepted as a traditional transfer student you will receive a guaranteed merit scholarship of at least $13,000 per year.
Guaranteed Scholarships for Transfer Students

We understand that transferring colleges can bring unique financial stress — that’s why we offer a variety of transfer-specific scholarships for students like you.
In addition to the scholarships that we offer for transfer students, you may be eligible for external scholarships.
Researching scholarships available in your area, those offered to individuals in your program of choice or scholarships given to encourage those with specific life experiences are all great ways to achieve the most savings possible when you’re applying to college.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society members are eligible for the Mount's PTK Award, which ranges from $2,000 - $4,000 per year. PTK recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. More than 3.5 million students have been inducted since 1918, making Phi Theta Kappa a true catalyst among members and colleges.
One of the best ways to see how affordable your degree can be is by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application helps you see what types of financial aid you qualify for, from federal grants to school-specific scholarships. Once you fill out the form, it will be sent to the schools you choose, and they will determine what sorts of aid you may qualify for.
It’s important to fill out the FAFSA every year so that you can make the most of any financial benefits available to you.
