- Students participate in a non-clinical practicum.
- Our curriculum includes a focus on serving clients with little-to-no access to counseling services.
- Practitioner-scholar model prepares students to contribute meaningfully to the practice and science of clinical psychology.
- Our faculty and student body enrich the learning experience by providing a variety of worldviews and cultural perspectives.
Convenient Class Schedule
Our students balance their studies with their career, family and personal commitments. M.S. in Counseling Psychology students can complete their degree in 3 years by taking courses three nights a week. Psy.D. students can complete their degree in 5 years by taking courses two days per week over the first 4 years.
Hands-on Counseling Experience
Students build superior skills and receive excellent preparation through the hands-on experiences made possible through our local clinical and non-clinical partnerships. Our graduate degree programs are highly recognized and respected by a plethora of Southern California organizations.
Culturally- Focused
Students benefit from graduate degree programs that emphasize an inclusive approach to serve various communities. They also expand their worldview and cultural perspective by being part of our broad student body and learning from a dynamic group of faculty.
The coursework provided me with new knowledge and tools to continue to support a variety of communities. I was able to gain new perspectives and innovative ways to continue to help and transform communities that lack access to counseling and mental health services. ![]()
